Rector of UNM Opens RAT KPRI-UNM 2021

The Employee Cooperative of the Republic of Indonesia (KPRI) of Makassar State University (KPRI) held the 38th Annual Member Meeting (RAT) of the 2020 Book Year at the UNM Phinisi building, Wednesday (24/3/2020).

In this RAT, KPRI UNM raised the theme "Synergizing to realize KPRI-UNM remains firm in the covid-19 situation for welfare" and was attended by Asrullah Chairman of the Regional Indonesian Cooperative Council (Dekopinwil) Sulawesi, The Cooperative And MSME Office of South Sulawesi Province, Malik Faisal, and all members of KPRI UNM.

Chairman of KPRI UNM Tuti Supatminingsih revealed as a forum for accountability of the board to report management responsibilities to its members.

"The cooperative is together, in the Covid-19 period we can exist. This activity is our forum from the board to report our accountability and also as a place to consult together to discuss measures for the progress of this institution," he said.

Meanwhile, The Cooperative Cadis and MSMEs of South Sulawesi in his speech appreciated the achievements achieved by KPRI UNM amid the economic conditions that were affected by the impact of the covid-19 pandemic.

"We give appreciation to KPRI-UNM which has been running effectively. Fighting well provides services to members as a linkage, active participation to the members," he said.

Meanwhile, in his direction the Rector of UNM Prof. Husain Sham revealed that the RAT this time is very important in conducting performance evaluations and compiling programs that will be carried out by KPRI-UNM in the future to provide welfare to its members.

"How we bring prosperity to members, we do not need to profit important friends prosperous, because that's what encourages members, because we feel there is welfare there," he said.

He also hopes that KPRI UNM can accelerate in the face of the guidance of the digital era in providing services and convenience in order to be able to compete with other financial institutions.

"Various efforts we make to compete with other financial institutions with the ability of managers to accelerate the era of technology, cooperatives to compete must be able to enter that era, utilizing online systems in providing convenience and services. We have to do it and be ready for it."
