Makassar State University (UNM) held a Computer-Based Writing Exam (UTBK) for the Joint Selection of State Universities (SBMPTN) 2021 has begun today, Monday (04/12/2021).
UNM will carry out UTBK-SBMPTN as many as two waves. The first wave was held april 12-18 and the second wave from April 26 to May 2, 2021.
In today's monitoring, there are three teams tasked with monitoring in different locations, namely, the Rector of UNM with his entourage, monitoring in pinisi building, Faculty of Technology, and Faculty of Economics.
The second team was led by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Hasnawi Haris and tombongan, conduct monitoring at the Faculty of Engineering, FMIPA, FBS, and FSD.
Meanwhile, the third team was led by Vice Rector Karta Jayadi and his entourage, monitoring in FIK and FIP.
Rector of UNM, Prof. Husain Sham said for the first day of the implementation of UTBK-SBMPTN went smoothly. The implementation of UTBK-SBMPTN itself takes place with the implementation of strict health protocols.
Although still in the time of the Covid-19 Pandemic, registrants at UNM experienced a significant increase.

"This year the number of people who register and take exams at UNM increased by 2500. The total number of applicants at UNM this year is 15,886," he said.
He added, for this year the registration of UTBK-SBMPTN took place alone through the Local Committee (Panlok) 712.
"We show that this UNM is indeed worthy in the eyes of the people. So that people entrust their education at UNM, "he explained.
For UTBK-SBMPTN this year, for study programs that are still a favorite like the previous year.
"Accounting, PTIK, management, PGSD, is still the favorite study program of applicants," he explained.
