On the 17th of Ramadan is celebrated as the night of the Qur'an or the night of the descent of the Qur'an for all mankind through the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
For this reason, the large family of the academic community of Makassar State University (UNM) commemorates the night of Nuzulul Quran or the 18th night of Ramadan 1442 hijri at Nurul Ilmi Mosque UNM, Thursday (29/4) night.
The event went with wisdom and was attended by the Rector of UNM, Prof. Husain Sham, the Vice Rectors, Deans and a number of leaders within the scope of UNM.
On that occasion, UNM Rector Prof. Husain Sham in his speech at the same time closed the series of Daurah events 10 days memorizing the Quran, advising that the commemoration of Nuzulul Quran is not just momentum, but how to practice values.
"It does not feel that we are already on the 18th night or commemorating the day of the fall of the Qur'an or the Qur'an. One of the virtues in Ramadan is that the holy qur'an is first revealed," said Prof Husain.
According to Prof. Husain Sham, in commemorating the night of the Qur'an is an extraordinary event in the handle of life and becomes a role model to treat life.
"So the Qur'an has no doubt in it, therefore it is mandatory tonight to commemorate the descent of the Qur'an as a guide to our life guidelines," he said.
The former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of UNM also expressed gratitude because this year the UNM academic community was able to return to activities commemorating the night of nuzulul Quran.
"So it's very different to last year we can't do anything in Ramadan. Therefore, we still adhere to health protocols so that we are always in good health," explained the owner of the title of Principal Professional Insiyur (IPU).
On that occasion, the handover of gifts as well as appreciation for Daurah participants memorized the Quran of Ramadan which had been carried out a few days ago. (peoplesulsel)
