Rector of Makassar State University (UNM) Prof. Husain Syam appointed the Faculty of Mathematics of Natural Sciences (FMIPA) as the Faculty of the establishment of the Corruption-Free Bureaucratic Area Integrity Zone -Free Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBK-WBBM).
The appointment of FMIPA UNM to WBK-WBBM is a follow-up to the request of the Ministry of Education and Culture Research-Technology (Kemendikbud-Ristek) to UNM last year. Where, the central government requested there is one UNM representative for this integrity zone.
Said Prof. Husain Sham, the selection of FMIPA as UNM's representative for the Integrity Zone is not without reason. He said, FMIPA's current status as the number one faculty at UNM. Although in general all faculties are ready and make the same efforts related to WBK-WBBM.
"If I choose FT UNM, it's as if elsewhere it's not good. That's why I chose FMIPA because of the first rank of faculty at UNM," said Prof. Husain Sham after attending the FMIPA Integrity Zone in the UNM Theater Room, Wednesday (16/6).
Prof. Husain Sham hopes that there will be no more KKN in the UNM environment. Not only that, the Former Dean of FT UNM wants UNM to be free of violence as a form of bureaucratic change efforts. Thus, the trust and certainty of service was born during their education at UNM.
"The UNM indicator has gained the trust of the public. Every year, the number of applicants increases which means that interest in learning is already high to UNM," he said.
To ensure the WBK-WBBM Integrity Zone, Prof. Husain said, his party formed a supervisory team at FMIPA. In addition, all academic community has also committed to support and run WBK-WBBM.
"Of course we will keep an eye on this. There is even a bureaucratic reform team that later they will evaluate the course of WBK-WBBM in FMIPA UNM," he explained. (*)
