Rector of Makassar State University (UNM) Prof. Dr. Husain Syam, MTP, IPU attended the morning prayers with the Mobile Dawn community built by Ustaz Das'ad Latif at Nurul Ilmi Mosque, Friday (06/18/2021). Congregational prayers at the UNM mosque are still carried out with strict health protocols.
In addition to the rector, the vice chancellors and deans and structural officials of the UNM scope participated in the morning prayers.
After the congregational prayer, ustaz Das'ad delivered a lecture on Muslim identity. In particular, the ustaz which is popular on social media appreciates the initiative of the Rector of UNM, Prof. Dr. Husain Sham who hosts a mobile dawn program.
Ustad Das'ad said that the dawn around like this is part of the Islamic shiar that must continue to be done.
At the end of his lecture, Das'ad gave a gift of two books to the Rector of UNM, Prof. Husain Sham. Both books are titled "Elections, Favors or Disasters" and "Islam Debated".
"This book is deliberately presented to the rector who according to social media will advance in Pilgub Sulbar. May he continue to be blessed by Allah SWT," he said.
The dawn congregation of the Mobile Dawn community at Nurul Ilmi Mosque UNM became a record in itself. Throughout the roving dawn program was held, this time the congregation expanded. Some worshippers were forced to hold prayers on the terrace of the mosque.
After the congregational prayer, the Rector of UNM entertained pilgrims with yellow rice and warm drinks.
