Makassar State University (UNM) received a visit from the comparative study of the Barombong Shipping Polytechnic Senate received directly by the Rector of UNM, Prof. Husain Sham accompanied by the Chairman of the Senate of UNM Dr. Sulaiman Samad in the meeting room of the 7th floor, Tuesday (06/29/2021).
The visit aims to gain new insights that can be applied immediately at the newly formed Barombong Shipping Police Campus in April 2021.
Chairman of the Barombong Shipping Police Senate, Rina Aryani, said that choosing the UNM senate because it has matured in senate activities.
He hopes to gain understanding and preparation of SOP senate activities that can be a reference in the development of the Barombong Shipping Police senate.
Meanwhile, the Rector in his speech welcomed and appreciated the visit made by the Barombong Shipping Police who had elected the UNM senate and hoped to get the perfect thought in building the senate in poltek.
He further said that the UNM Senate and the Shipping Police could share in order to strengthen institutions.
"UNM is very concerned in the development of the senate, we are committed to positively impact other institutions and equally learn to bring institutions into better governance," he said.
After the welcome event, this visit continued discussions with unm senate members who attended.
