Makassar State University (UNM) will hold a Public Lecture which will be held tomorrow, December 22, 2020. At the public lecture, the theme "Transformation of Incinerity in South Sulawesi".
The event presented speakers, Chairman of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII), Heru Dewanto and the Governor of South Sulawesi, Prof. Nurdin Abdullah. Public lectures will be conducted online and offline, centered in the Pinisi UNM building.
Rector of UNM Prof. Husain Sham who a few weeks ago managed to achieve the title of Principal Professional Engineer (IPU) revealed that in education in Indonesia is divided into three, namely academic, vocational, and also professional. For an engineer degree itself is a professional degree and is a momentum to measure science in the world of work.
"Professional education can be used as a way to measure science in the field, especially the world of work. With professional education can also contribute to the development of science to be on target," said Prof. Husain.
