Research and Community Service Institute of Makassar State University (LP2M- UNM), conducted the 6th Integrated Community Service Program (PPM) in 2021, in Salenrang Tourism Village, Bontoa District of Maros Regency. Saturday (10/7/2021)
Starting his speech, Chairman of LP2M UNM, Prof. Bakhrani A. Rauf, conveyed the message of the Rector of UNM, Prof. Husain Sham, Rector asked, not only the reason for the Covid-19 Pandemic, so as not to conduct research and community service.
"Do it with full creativity, full of innovation, so that it can be carried out community service activities professionally in the community," said Prof. Bakhrani A. Rauf.
Furthermore, Prof. Bakhrani, hopes that UNM lecturers must be present in the midst of society, in order to provide the best solution, related to what is needed by the community.
In addition to education and research, in the hopes of providing knowledge and skills to the community, especially those who live in tourist villages, so as to understand the problems associated with tourist awareness, excellent service, CHSE, and others, so that tourists always want to return to visit Rammang Rammang.
"UNM lecturers can also provide solutions, to all problems in the community, which later the community can be more creative, and able to produce something of economic value. For example, related to materials in Rammang-Rammang Salenrang Tourism Village, Maros Regency," he added.
Regent Maros (H.A.S. Chaidir Sham, SIP., M.H.) welcomed this activity. He hopes that this activity will continue to other villages in Maros Regency.
Meanwhile, the integrated PPM Coordinator of Salenrang Village, Dr. WidyaKarmila Sari Achmad aims to target young people so as to make local tour guides have a well-mannered professional competition.
"This place is very beautiful and interesting, because it has a nature that presents a charm that may not be found in other parts of the world. The purpose of my PKM is to make local tour guides have a professional competition that is polite and hospitality(hospitality)," he said.
Dr.. WidyaKarmila Sari Achmad, confirmed that this Integrated PPM activity was also followed up with the signing of an MoA (Memorandum of Agreement) to become an umbrella of cooperation or legal standing for tourist village activities.
