UNM Organizes Mass Vaccination of Covid-19

A total of 1,700 lecturers and employees in the scope of Makassar State University (UNM) were given the Covid-19 Vaccination. Injection of the first dose of vaccine in Pinisi Tower Court, Tuesday, (9 and 10/03/2021).

UNM Rector Prof. Husain Sham became the first person to get the vaccine injection followed by lecturers and other employees.

This professor of agriculture after being vaccinated said, after so long awaited finally got a turn as well.

According to him, by doing the vaccine is already an effort to minimize the spread of Covid-19. Moreover, he said, this vaccine is a national program. UNM as part of the government has a responsibility to succeed this vaccination.

"The number vaccinated these two days as many as 1,700 people are lecturers and educators," said Husain Sham, Tuesday (03/09/2021).

He added that, UNM itself targets to provide vaccinations to all lecturers and employees.

After being given the vaccine, Husain Sham appealed to lecturers and employees to maintain health protocols.

"Despite the vaccine, I hope we keep the health protocols in order. Keep wearing masks and keep your distance, to stop the transmission of Covid-19," he explained.

Vaccinations organized by UNM are a collaboration and government support, especially the Makassar City Health Office and South Sulawesi Province. (Sindonews)
