Rector of UNM Opens MBKM Curriculum Implementation Workshop

Makassar State University (UNM) held a Curriculum Development and Implementation Workshop that Supports Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). The event was held at The Four Point Hotel, Friday (05/28/2021)

The event was attended by vice rectors, deans and chairmen of prodi within the scope of UNM.

Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs Prof. Hasnawi Haris in his speech said the purpose of the activity was an effort to present the curriculum in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program.

"We all understand that the policy of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Meredaka, must prepare curriculum tools as our reference and guidance, we hope that our study program friends will soon compile the curriculum," he said.

Meanwhile, in his direction, the Rector of UNM Prof. Husain Sham appealed that all leaders up to the level of Prodi should be able to understand the essence of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka, so as to give birth to the right curriculum.

"All leaders must understand from the essence of the policy, so that we properly understand the cohemperensitive meaning of this policy, so that we are able to produce the right curriculum," he explained.

He targets in the upcoming odd semester all study programs have implemented Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka. Policies that encourage students to collaborate and master a variety of useful science to enter the workforce.

"We must understand that this policy is an effort to encourage students to collaborate and master various science, so that our semester must ensure that all study programs have implemented the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka curriculum," he explained.

At the end of his directive he added that in the preparation of the final task in this case the thesis for one title can be done by more than one student with the same scope, this aims to build collaboration.

"In the future, composing a thesis of one title can be more than one person, one title can be done by several people, but that's right the scope is in accordance and in sync with the study program taken, so that students can collaborate so that they can benefit. I'm pushing that to the prodi," he insisted.
